Everything was new to me. From the interview process to talking to supervisors and clients, to making check-in and check-out calls every day, and weekly meetings too.
Everything was fast-paced. I remember being so nervous at my first presentation with a client. I didn’t have any idea how to do it. All I knew then was to make presentations for my college professors. Suddenly, it was the real thing already I was doing.
However, GetCre8ive helped me become more confident with my presentations by letting me voice out my opinions and ideas during meetings. Indeed, it gave me the "OJT feels" I needed. I didn’t just dip my toes on the water, I took a plunge into it, so to speak.
With my entire internship, I got to design logos, make posters, edit vlogs, send personalized emails via HubSpot. I also got HubSpot certificates which make my resumes more attractive. I also got to attend creative workshops that helped me expand my creative skills by learning some techniques I won’t learn inside the four walls of the classroom.
Of course. one of the things I love about my internship is that they are not all about work. They take time to have fun and relax by conducting monthly game nights, desk exercises, and weekly coaching that helps us reflect on ourselves and get a grip on our goals.
With that, I get a glimpse of what it’s like to work and experience what my industry looks like once I graduate. Over-all, it was a very fun experience and definitely, this one’s for the books! Thank you, GetCre8ive!
