Manila HUG 2021: Mapping The Paths For Growth
Workplace trends in 2021 show major shifts in its definition of what makes a company a great place of work. From rethinking productivity, remote work set-ups, to a more impactful emphasis on the importance of mental health -- carving out this "new normal" has given companies new opportunities to reflect on what is important. Whereas we were faced with the big Unknown in 2020, 2021 challenged us to hone in on what we now envision.
The HUG sessions of 2021 became spaces for us to map out our new paths for growth by showing us where we can improve on in terms of managing our work better, so that we may continue to find meaning in the service we provide.
In the Q1 HUG Manila Meet-up, guest speakers Aaron Soh of HubSpot and Christine Rojas of StraightArrow walked us through Sales Automation on HubSpot, addressing the need for a systematised data handling for sales experts. Often, sales teams enjoy the client relationship building aspect of work, but are overwhelmed by the administrative side of the job.
For the second HUG Manila Meet-up, HubSpot Head of Sales Dan Tyre spoke to us about Account-Based Marketing and Selling, which offers to create a VIP experience for a company's Key Accounts. This allows the sales and marketing teams to personalise their communication to their clients and better prioritisation.
In the HUG Manila Meet-up for Q3, Speaker Charlie Pennington of HubSpot taught us how to Grow our Business through Inbound marketing and selling. A combination of marketing and sales automation that drives a more consistent experience for customers and leads.
And for the last HUG Manila Meet-up of 2021 called Reset, Restrat, and Celebrate with HUG Manila!, we were happy to be able to share our insights and takeaways from the year that has been. We celebrated our wins with Romka Walkowiak of HubSpot for an afternoon of games, activities, and sharing.
It has also been helpful that in between our quarterly meet-ups, we were able to hear from Guest Speakers Raffy Santos and Nikko Magalona, Gab Cristobal of GrainPro, Emman Abendan of StraightArrow Corp., and MJ Laceste of Stratcon Philippines, who generously shared with us their own experiences with HubSpot.
The future is looking bright, and as we are able to navigate a new set of challenges for 2021, we look forward to 2022 and beyond to reach even further heights. At the core of our work, we hold on to our passion of #InspiringInnovation.
